As the weather changes, so do our menus; introducing our new Autumn/Winter Menus!
Available from Wednesday 1st November 2023
Lunch & Dinner Menu
Our new Lunch and Dinner Menu is full of exciting new dishes made from fresh seasonal ingredients.
Our stunning new starters include Wild Mushroom & Gorgonzola Tart with plum chutney, rocket and a balsamic glaze, and Blackened Ham Hock Terrine with pickled seasonal vegetables, thyme and apple puree.
For main course let us entice you with one of our new delicious dishes, like Pheasant Breast served with creamy mashed potatoes, baby turnips, radish, Chantenay carrots, spiced plum puree and a port and cranberry jus, or how about Herb Crusted Pork Tenderloin with hassleback new potatoes, squash puree, sautéed green beans and honey mustard sauce? Have we tempted you yet?!
Don’t fancy a large meal? Then try one of our ‘Small Plates/Light Mains’. These dishes can be enjoyed as a starter, or upgraded to a larger portion to be eaten as a lighter main course, like our Waldorf Salad with little gem, grapes, apple, walnuts, raisins, Waldorf-style dressing, which can also include smoked salmon or smoke chicken breast for a small supplement, or our Grilled Mediterranean Vegetable Antipasto served with sun-dried tomato pesto, vegan feta, olive crumb and ciabatta croutes – perfect for 1 or even better as a starter sharer for 2!
For those of you that love the classics, we still have our popular Homemade Chargrilled Burger and the iconic Beer Battered Fillet of Fish (available lunchtime only), but our new Mushroom & Halloumi Stack in a pretzel brioche bun with little gem, tomato, gherkins, cranberry sauce, served with beer battered onion rings and a choice of french fries or hand cut chunky chips is destined to be a new favourite!
You can’t beat a roast dinner on a Sunday! That’s why our tasty Traditional Sunday Roasts are so popular. Choose from Sirloin of Beef, Leg of Lamb, Loin of Pork and Free Range Chicken Supreme – all locally sourced from independent butchers – or our vegetarian Nut Roast. All our roasts are served with Yorkshire pudding, crisp roast potatoes, honey roast parsnips, steamed market vegetables, cauliflower cheese, herb crushed carrots with brown butter and a red wine gravy or vegetarian gravy.
Fancy something different? In addition to our roasts, we also offer Locally Sourced Steak Of The Day served with triple cooked chunky chips, flat mushroom, herb crusted tomato, lambs lettuce garnish and an additional choice of sauces, or our tasty Pan Fried Sea Bass Fillet with crushed new potatoes, sautéed green beans and beetroot puree, available with 1 or 2 fillets, depending on your appetite.
Still hungry? Grab a spoon and tuck into one of our scrumptious new puds, like our Chocolate Fondant served with caramel sauce and Turkish delight ice cream, or our Red Wine & Port Poached Pears with toasted almonds and vanilla ice cream – you can’t get more autumnal than that!
