As the new season blossoms, we’re excited to unveil our brand-new Spring/Summer menus, crafted with the finest, freshest ingredients that celebrate the flavours of spring and summer. Our chefs have curated vibrant dishes featuring local, seasonal produce.

Our Food Ethos
We have championed the use of local produce for decades. Surrounded by amazing farms, our chef’s devise menus showcasing the best Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire and their neighbouring counties have to offer.
As a small family owned and run restaurant we believe in building up great partnerships with other family businesses around us. That’s why we’re proud to use local family-run farms, growers and butchers with the same ethos regarding ethical farming for all our fresh ingredients, wherever possible.
Lunch & Dinner Menu
Our new Lunch and Dinner Menu is bursting with sensational Spring/Summer flavours.
Savour stunning new starters, such as Smoked Mackerel & Lime Rillettes with sourdough croutes, pickled carrot and rocket salad, or our Chicken Skewers with chilli and lime mayonnaise, garnished with dressed rocket leaves.
Introducing our new salads, which are available as a fresh spring/summer starter or can be up-graded to a light main course. Enjoy our new Chicken Caesar Salad with little gem, anchovies, parmesan and a Caesar dressing, which also has the option of adding bacon lardons for even more flavour. Or why not try our Salad Niçoise with spinach, little gem, edamame beans, new potatoes, soft egg, anchovies, red onion and cherry tomatoes, which, when up-graded to a lighter main, has the option of adding a Swordfish Steak for just £6 extra to make a proper meal of it!
Our Spring/Summer menu also offers exciting new main dishes, such as Pan Fried Chicken Supreme with herb crushed new potatoes, braised leeks, rainbow carrots and a mushroom and white wine cream sauce, and our new Pork Schnitzel served with cheddar mashed potato, sautéed green beans, burnt apple puree and a confit garlic and tarragon butter – perfect on those lazy sunny day!
Don’t forget we also offer succulent steaks on our ‘From The Grill’ section of our menu. Choose one of our locally sourced steaks; 8oz Rump, 8oz Sirloin Steak or 10oz Ribeye, cooked on the chargrill and served with triple cooked chunky chips or french fries, confit plum tomato, flat mushroom and watercress salad, with an additional choice of sauces.
Sunday Lunch Menu
Our tasty new starters are also available on our Spring/Summer Sunday Lunch Menu. Our new Mushroom & Walnut Pâté with pickled pears and sourdough croûtes is not only vegetarian and gluten free, it’s also dairy free adaptable making it suitable for vegans too.
Or experience that Oriental flavour with our Asian inspired Ginger, Honey & Soy Glazed Salmon Filo Parcels served with homemade kimchi, or our Veal Meatballs with a sticky Thai glaze and rice noodles.
Of course our new Sunday Lunch Menu still offers our popular Traditional Sunday Roasts – it just wouldn’t be Sunday without them! Choose from Sirloin of Beef, Leg of Lamb, Loin of Pork and Chicken Supreme – all locally sourced from independent butchers – or our vegetarian Nut Roast (adaptable to vegan), all served with Yorkshire pudding, crisp roast potatoes, honey roast parsnips, steamed market vegetables, cauliflower cheese, herb crushed carrots with brown butter and a red wine gravy or vegetarian gravy.
But it’s not all roasts – alongside our popular Pan Fried Sea Bass Fillet(s) served with sautéed new potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, tomato, pineapple and basil salsa, and our Locally Sourced Steak Of The Day, we also offer our new Sun-blushed Tomato Risotto, finished with crumbled vegan feta and basil oil – giving you that spring/summer vibe!
Dessert Menu
Still got room for something sweet? Taste the sunshine with our Strawberry & Mango Soufflé with mango sorbet, or our how about our fabulous Pina Colada Cheesecake with fresh pineapple and a coconut sorbet. Also our Rhubarb & Custard Baked Alaska with rhubarb gin jelly is brimming with sunny cheer.
Fancy something a little more indulgent? Well let us tantalise the taste buds with our Chocolate & Sour Cherry Fudge Torte paired with a cherry sorbet, suitable for vegetarians and vegans – yum!
