Lunch at The Birch

Would just like to say how much we enjoyed our lunch with you today.  After 3 hours Christmas shopping we were tired and hungry and looking for a light lunch and a cool glass of beer.  My partner had been told how good the Birch was so we headed your way.  Very pleasant first impressions and welcoming front of house staff.  We were shown to a lovely table by the window and given the menus with helpful suggestions and recommendations by a very pleasant but in no way pushy or intrusive waiter.  We chose a ‘light’ lunch of steak burger! for him and rare beef ciabatta for myself, absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.  So satisfied it was a shame we couldn’t even think about desert!  We will be back and will certainly be recommending.  Thank you to all your staff and chef.

The most fantastic lunch

On Saturday the 24th we took our guests here for our wedding lunch and it was the most fantastic day. The staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food, as always, was amazing. All of our guests have told us how much they enjoyed it and how helpful and friendly everyone was. The service was second to none – we were a group of 24 and everyone was served within minutes. The Birch made our special day totally perfect and I would have no hesitation in recommending The Birch to anyone who loves great food and fantastic service. Will definitely be booking to celebrate our first anniversary.

We would just like to say a massive ‘THANK YOU’ to all the friendly staff at Birch. We held our wedding celebration lunch for 16 people there couple of days ago, and it was just the perfect environment! Management were also very flexible with regards to the menu, which was greatly appreciated.
The place is calming, relaxing and very classy. All the guests were really impressed and will be returning to Birch very soon.

Thank you to the team at the Birch for providing us with a lunch to remember. From the moment we arrived to when we left we were treated to attentive not intrusive front of house staff. When the food arrived, we were astounded by the appearance and the flavours were to die for! Every course was presented with perfection and style. We sat in a restaurant full of customers and yet felt like we had sole attention of our waiting staff throughout. They didn’t miss a thing and could read all the signals of when we were ready for our next course. What a wonderful experience. Your chefs are second to none and do the restaurant proud with the very tempting menu. It is quite obvious that they are sourcing the highest quality ingredients in order to present such fabulous dishes.

If anyone reading this review has any doubts, be assured you will not be disappointed!!
Huge thanks to Mark, Front of House and the highly skilled chefs / kitchen staff – we cant wait for our next visit!!

Just love it here…

We would just like to let everyone know what a lovely restaurant this is. It’s not just the food but all of the staff are all really nice and friendly.
This is our Special Restaurant as we came here for when we got engaged and we eat here for all of our Special Occasions, and more when we can fit it in.
Mark and his team are great and always make you feel at home with their friendly conversations.

We cannot recommend this restaurant enough, you will not be disappointed.

“Christmas Lunch”

I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your team for the outstanding service we received on the 17th of December.  The Christmas Lunch was enjoyed by all and we loved the atmosphere of the place, including the Christmas decorations.

The team in the restaurant are simply outstanding and delivered first class service throughout the lunch.  Once again thank you so much and we hope to visit The Birch very soon.

Had a super time for my 70th birthday celebration with my family on 22nd November.  Food and wine perfect, excellent service, lots of happy people.

“A very memorable birthday”

Thank you so very much to everyone at The Birch for a fabulous fine dining experience! This was our first meal with you and we were astounded by the wonderful food and special touches along with the attentive staff who made us feel so welcome. We have never enjoyed a meal so much as this one. It made my birthday extremely special – I would certainly recommend your establishment to everyone.

Just to say thank you to The Birch for making Thursday evening as enjoyable as it was.  The food was superb as always and the waitresses very helpful, especially the lovely blond lady who was as charming as she was knowledgeable.
