We collect information about you when you fill in forms on our website or contact us by telephone, email or otherwise.

manage your account, process invoices and payments;
and, if you sign up to our newsletter, email you about up-coming events and promotion at The Birch, Woburn or Black Horse, Ireland.

A legitimate business requirement being an activity ‘which can reasonably be considered as fundamental to the efficient delivery of a service for which The Birch is responsible’ or ‘an activity which The Birch is legally obliged to undertake’.

3. Where do we store your information?

When Booking a Table:

The information we collect from you when you make a table booking, either through our website or via telephone, is stored on our booking server, Resdiary, which is password protected.

When Purchasing Gift Vouchers:

The information we collect from you to process the purchase of gift vouchers via our website is securely processed through our payment platform Stripe. Your credit card details are not stored and are not made visible to and cannot be accessed by anyone working at The Birch or Country Taverns Ltd. Your name, contact details and any personal requests you provide when purchasing gift vouchers through our website is sent via an email direct to The Birch, Woburn, so that we can process your order effectively.

When You Sign Up to Our Newsletter:

The information we collect when you sign up to our newsletter/marketing is stored on our database, Mailchimp, which is password protected and only accessed by the marketing team.

Please note, data transmitted via the internet (e.g. emails and online forms) may not be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to our site and any transmission is at your own risk. We will endeavour to ensure strict procedures and security features will prevent any unauthorised access to information received by us.

We do not share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How long do we retain your information?

Information collected via this website

We ensure personal information collected via our website is kept for no longer than is necessary. To find out more about Cookie retention, see section 7 Cookies.

Information collected for booking

We keep the information you supply when making your table reservation secure for use with future booking from yourself, unless you request otherwise.

Information collected for marketing usage

We keep your email and name secure on Mailchimp unless you request, via our website/newsletter, to unsubscribe.

We do not share any of your information with any third parties for marketing purposes.
