Dear Birch,
Myself and my family were at your restaurant last night to Celebrate my mums 60th Birthday and after the experience we had I felt the need to put it into an email.
From the moment we arrived at your restaurant, your bar staff were not only attentive but instantly made us all feel very welcome, they all had a great sense of humour without being rude or over familiar, and that is very difficult to do.
We were encouraged to use your sofa and the gentleman that came round to inform us of your specials was also excellent and very professional.
Throughout the night we had different waiters/waitresses but they were all excellent and what impressed us most was they all did their jobs with a smile on their face, again making us very welcome.
The food, the wine, the athmosphere was absolutely fantastic and help make the 60th birthday a very memorable one.
Upon paying the bill however I did end up paying someone elses bill - which was part my fault as well as I didn't fully check the reciept as I just expected it to be ours. We were only aware of the error when another member of staff came up and presented me with another bill.
Now, I'm not complaining about this as mistakes happen, what is important is how mistakes are addressed and I have to say your staff credited me the difference straight away as they could see where the mistake happened. This for me only confirmed what we already thought of your staff and restaurant throughout the course of the evening - utterly brilliant!
I shall be coming back again and I shall be recommending your restaurant to others as well.
